Minutes of the 3pi meeting 22.3.94 Present: A. Ealet, E. Huber, F. Montanet, O. Wigger, P. Weber, R. Rickenbach - Anne presented the performace of the new 3c fit. For good MC events it cuts flat in lifetime at the 3% level. It was decided to implement it as a cut in the official cradle Anne also found that the 4,3 tracks cause a charge asymmetry that is changing with the magnetic field. - Edwige presented an new version of the cut on the angle between the to vertices and the K0 momentum in space. The cut in this version yield a slight improvement in the signal to noice ratio. There is disagreement between MC and data regarding the errors of z and pz. The disagreement depends on the run period. There is still some unexplained differences in the MC acceptances between Rene and Edwige. they have to be solved as soon as the new MC (upgrades by Marc Dejardin and PC efficiencies) is available. - Peter presented his work on the calorimeter. He does not find a way to improve the signal to noice ratio using the calorimeter. He finds that we might have to introduce decay time dependent cuts on the C-fit probabilities but this work needs further study. - Jose sent a report on his recent work. See attached letter. He also sent the new vesion of his Vertec fit. The next 3pi meeting will take place monday may 16th at 14.00 . Renaud will report on his investigation of the effects on the triggers simulation on good MC events. Anne should give a report on the effect of the charge asymmetries caused by the 4,3 tracks on the CP allowd and CP forbidden parameters. I will present some results on the effect of background an the CP-forbidden parameters. cheers Rene
