Minutes of 3pi meeting May 16th 94
 
present: F. Henry-Coignet, P. Weber, A. Schopper, R. Rickenbach, M. Chertok,
         A. Filipcic, E. Hubert, F. Touchard, F. Montanet.
 
- Andrej has applied the new 3C fit and an additional cut on the radius of
  the secondary vertex (r >= 3 cm) on all data up to p25 (except 300 from
  Rutherford). this yield 130 k events in the end. Both asymmetries (CP-
  violating and CP-allowed) look rather nice. More work on the background
  and a systematic study on the influence of the new vertex cut is needed.
 
- Edwige, Anne and Francois showed that the 4c antfits remove mainly data
  at long lifetimes while the new 3c fit cuts background at short lifetimes.
  It was decided to drop the 4c fits from the official cradle and use the
  new 3c fit instead.
 
- Rene showed (using old MC) that systematic errors connected to knowledge of
  the background are small. This work has to be repeated with the new MC
  data and the new analysis which yield a much lower background.
 
- The next meeting will take place June 13th at 14:00. People should be
  prepared to stay until wedneday. During this time we should prepare a
  unified update of our results for the summer conferences.
