Neutral final states
Minutes of the NFS-meetings held on 11/01/94:
=============================================

In this NFS-meeting we discussed the preparation of the Collaboration
meeting and had some reports on the status of the latest analysis.

Reports:
========
- M.Wolter presented the summary of all MC-production including the
  production which was running on the Alpha cluster over christmas.
  The detailed listing is available as photocopy of the transparancies.
  In total 270hrs of the CSF farm and 1610hrs on our alpha cluster
  have been used.
- B.Pagels summarized his studies about fake photons. He found only one
  significant contribution from charged track associated fake photons.
  The region arround a charged track wich is enhanced with fake photons
  (from strong interaction of the charged particle in the calorimeter)
  is bigger arround the kaons (approx 40-50cm) than arround the pions
  (usal cut 25cm). Other fake photon contributions exist but are
  negligible.
- O.Behnke reported on the calibration of the shower direction
  reconstruction in the calorimeter with K0-->Pi0Pi0. The calibration
  is ready and a software package to apply this calibration exists.
- T.Ruf reported on his studies with converted photons.
  His new constraint fits for 4 photon events (2Pi0) and 6 photon
  events (3Pi0) are ready.
  The high background rejection for 4 photon data can be seen from the
  photocopy of his transparancies. Also the 3Pi0 selection seems
  allright when looking at the 2-gamma invariant mass of the Pi0's
  and the 6-gamma invariant mass of the K0, but the reconstructed
  lifetime is not flat. A lot of statistics can be gained in future
  by using also events with one or two missing photons.
- A.Schopper reported on the status of the NFS-production of P24 data.
  All filtered data that have been received so far have been produced
  with all constraint fits, loop method, etc. (NFSPRO-production)
  on the Alpha farm. In total approx. 5.6 10**6 2 track events have
  been processed and 1.4 10**6 events written to Exabyte.

Organisation of the NFS-session of the collaboration meeting:
=============================================================

At the collaboration meeting we have a maximum of 2 hours to report
on the NFS-analysis.
We agreed, that the following persons will report:
(Topics are propositions to be discussed)

A.S : Introduction and status of NFS-production
G.P.: Brief summary of E-calibration (new CPLEAR note)
M.W.: Background studies with MC-data and K0-->Pi+Pi- data
      (+ MC production status)
O.B.: } background studies with data, methods to improve lifetime
B.P.: } resolution and background, lifetime, (expected) asymmetry
T.R.: studies with converted photons
M.S.: study of 6 photon events

We should foresee a maximum of 15 minutes per person !
